This notice explains what information D&L Design Engineering may receive through this website and how it is used for project enquiries and business correspondence.
1. Who is responsible for the information
D&L Design Engineering is responsible for handling personal information submitted for business enquiries through this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to enquiries@dlengineering.co.uk.
2. Information collected
If you contact us, we may receive your name, company, email address, telephone number, project description, requested service, timescale and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not submit confidential CAD, drawings or sensitive technical information through the website form.
3. Why the information is used
Information is used to assess and respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, communicate about potential or agreed work, maintain reasonable business records and protect legitimate business interests. Where work proceeds, additional information may be processed as needed to perform the agreed service.
4. Contact-form processing
The website contact form uses FormSubmit, a third-party form delivery service, to send submitted information to the D&L Design Engineering enquiry mailbox. FormSubmit states that submissions are retained in its submission archive for up to 30 days. If you do not want to use the website form, you can email enquiries@dlengineering.co.uk directly.
5. Sharing information
Personal information is not sold. It may be shared only where reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with law, obtain professional advice or work with an agreed supplier / specialist for a project. Confidential project information will not be intentionally shared with an external supplier without an appropriate project reason.
6. Retention
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for correspondence, quotations, project records, legal obligations and legitimate business purposes. Information that is no longer required should be deleted or securely disposed of.
7. Cookies and analytics
This website does not currently intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural analytics. The contact-form provider may apply its own anti-spam or security measures when a form is submitted. If analytics or additional cookies are introduced later, this notice will be updated.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable UK data-protection law, you may have rights to ask for access to personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing. Requests can be sent to enquiries@dlengineering.co.uk.
